I am not joking about it as users have been varifying the content of various drivers over the past year (there are simple websites to where you can upload files to compare code) it turns out that the content is 100% identical to previous versions of the driver. Creative even nowadays copy pastes previous drivers to their website and gives it a new versionnumber and/or they sometimes only change the driver releasedate of it's current driver to let people think they worked hard on something. ![]() Creative officialy doesn't work on any drivers, so don't expect fixes. Good hardware but bugs bugs bugs and no improvement in functional drivers make onboard soundcards a better option. I wish I bought a mainboard with a PCI slot so I could put in my Elite Pro and use Daniel K's driver. Unless Creative offers a solution there is no solution. There are no changes to core elements to improve the functioning or to erase bugs as with Daniel K's drivers. For searten musicstyles I really enjoy the PAX driver, but at the same time it lacks for other styles. They are plain copies of the Creative drivers and only alter to the soundpreferences of the maker of the PAX drivers. ![]() PAX drivers don't solve any issue if you experience any issue. So the newer X-Fi's are unfortunately not supported.ĭon't bother about trying PAX drivers. Daniel K was semi-forced to stop working on Creative cards.
